About Me

I am a 24 year old nurse who moved from Cincinnati, OH to St. Petersburg, FL in May 2012…and I am already in love with the Sunshine State!

I currently work in a Neonatal ICU and love it. Pediatric nursing rocks! And the really little peanuts have a special place in my heart. And I will admit it…I refuse to change grandpa diapers for a living. Although I have already promised my parents that they will be my exception to the rule some day (MANY, many years in the future) when they need their diapers changed. 🙂

I am a fitness fanatic who loves to stay active and try new fitness-oriented activities. I have run several road races, including my first full marathon in April 2012. (Thanks to my friend, Angela, who totally peer pressured me into running it with her! I had a blast!)

And I bought my first road bike in December 2011 and have enjoyed getting aqcuainted with the bike and getting comfortable with my fancy-pants clip in shoes. I have only had one major wipe out, which resulted in bloodied up legs…but also apparently made me a “real road biker”!

I am also quite the foodie and admittedly have a wicked sweet tooth. However, I try to cook and eat healthfully most of the time. I am new to blogging, but have always enjoyed writing. I have been introduced to the world of blogging by several wonderful women I have met since moving to FL, so I figured I would give it a try! What a perfect way to chronicle my new life adventure in FL!
